most of a tree

Can't seem to put this one down!  Every section is something totally new so as soon as I finish one, it's on to the next.  I think this is up to part 11 or 12 now, though those pesky french knots are STILL on hold.

Probably won't finish today, but definitely within the next couple of days. :)

  1. Hi, new follower here! Love your work. TOS is in my this month's start pile too. It seems to stitch up quite quickly once you master the speciality stitches. Love your Ink Circles and the Sweetheart Tree piece.

  2. Your tree is really shaping up nicely!

Have you tried searching for videos of folks doing french knots? That's how I finally got the hang of colonial knots. Have you tried colonials? Some people say they are easier than french knots, but since I've never had trouble with french knots, they seemed a little harder to me.

  3. Hi Jo, thanks for following! I followed you as well... you can never have enough stitchy blogs to read!

Hi Katie, thanks for the info! Turns out that the colonial knots are the ones I know how to do. I just have a hard time getting them to sit right on the fabric, or they try to disappear between the threads. Maybe I'm not using enough strands of floss and they're too small?
